Scanalytics Provides Improved Fluorescence Ratiometric Imaging Solutions
(FAIRFAX, VA -- May 16, 1998) Scanalytics is pleased to announce that its popular RatioPlus Extension now is available in Version 2.1 for Macintosh. RatioPlus is a set of IPLab for Macintosh-compatible Extensions that enables the user to acquire, process and analyze dual wavelength image date for Ca++ and pH ratio experiments using high-quality cameras and wavelength switching systems. This version of RatioPlus continues to be developed along with IPLab software, which has been available for the Macintosh platform since 1989.
Features of RatioPlus v2.1
The improved RatioPlus Extension is designed to provide power, flexibility, ease of use, and improved experimental consistency. With RatioPlus the user can acquire image sequences that can be stored in memory or on hard disk, generate plots showing changes in selected areas or cells through time, and animate the resulting image sequence as a QuickTime movie. Mosaic images also can be produced quickly and easily for presentations, showing representative snap shots of the experiment. In addition, RatioPlus offers the user maximum flexibility in designing customized experiments as well as a wide range of compatible camera types and wavelength switching equipment.
RatioPlus Version 2.1 has a redesigned interface that allows scientists to plot multi-frame objects such as means, ion concentration and pH concentration over time. It also affords scientists the opportunity to perform realtime background subtraction during live experiments.
"Scanalytics' new RatioPlus positions the company squarely in the ratio imaging market with a highly competitive product," stated Scanalytics President Dr. Michael S. Mort. "The parallel development of both IPLab and RatioPlus has resulted in the highest-quality, multi-functional imaging solutions for the scientific and biotechnology markets."
