Ratio Plus for Windows

Ratio Plus for Windows acquires, processes, and analyzes your ratio, FRET, and Cameleon experiments. Ratio Plus is an extension to the IPLab for Windows scientific imaging program, which means that it adds extensive functionality to an already-powerful image analysis package.

With Ratio Plus, you can:

• acquire image sequences of different wavelengths over time,
• store them in memory or on hard disk,
• exclude background from the measurements,
• measure ion concentration by using ratiometric dyes (such as Fura and Indo) or Cameleons, and measure normalized FRET by the two- and three-filter methods,
• process and measure existing ratio data in a single step,
• auto-calculate and store the constants used to calculate ion concentrations and FRET,
• create plots of all data and calculations,
• use the Ratio Plot Editor to scan through crowded plots and create copies that report only relevant (living) cells, and
• animate the resulting image sequences and export them as movies.

In addition, Ratio Plus gives you maximum flexibility in designing your own experiments.

Ratio Plus for Windows and IPLab support a wide variety of CCD digital and video cameras. We constantly add support for the best new cameras. Two new digital cameras have incredible sensitivity and speed that make them ideal for ratio and FRET imaging: the new Photometrics Cascade 512 F and the Quantix Intensified Retiga.
